Southern Region Scoops five Risk Management Awards
Five prestigious Risk Management Awards were conferred to ZETDC Southern Region at the Cell Insurance sponsored Risk Management Competition Ceremony held at Rainbow Towers Hotel in Harare early May, 2016.
Mr Patson Mbiriri, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Energy and Power Development, encouraged ZESA (through ZETDC) to continually ensure customer satisfaction and good risk management. He acknowledged the good work done by Cell Insurance Company and applauded its fruitful partnership with ZETDC.

The awards were a culmination of audits carried out on all 33kV, 88kV, 132kV, 330kV, substations, depots and garages across the country. The audit teams comprised of the ZETDC’s Chief Risk Officers, Risk Management Officers, Safety and Health Officers teamed up with Insurers Representatives and
Asset Managers to make up the Audit Teams.

ZETDC RISK Management Competition Safety Award – Operations and Maintenance
ZETDC RISK Management Competition Customer Service Centre -Zvishavane CSC
ZETDC RISK Management Competition Regional Award Winner Distribution – Southern Region
ZETDC RISK Management Competition Overall Winner – Southern Region
The General Manager Eng King Dube highlighted that effective leadership is about encouraging effective employee participation and can be most successful if employees are empowered through acquisition of better skills from continuous training and development in their various fields. “I also believe that our success has been determined by the unique mix of our team as we have managed to achieve the synergistic effect of one plus two to make it five,”
